It Only Looks Like a 34-footer! This is truly a live-aboard boat. One that actually solves the space problems you’ve noticed on other boats. The MV/34 is a Cat, so you won’t find odd-shaped nooks and crannies everywhere. What you will find, and really appreciate, are two cabins large enough to hold queen-size beds, loads of storage space, and lots of light and ventilation. The dinette seats six or more comfortably and, because of the way we’ve placed the inside aft helm, the Captain is always included in the action. As for the bridge, it’s accessed by steps, not a ladder, and is big enough to accommodate the whole crew. You’ll find extra seating, along with lots of storage space here, too. All this in a boat that’s just 34’ 6” long. Handling?
It’s Simply a Breeze! And that could be considered an understatement. The MV/34 even makes going through locks a joy. That’s because its side walkways are wide enough to allow 2 people to pass one another easily. As for grab rails, they’re everywhere. Combine that with the MV/34’s flat decks and you’re always sure of a stable platform. Docking? No problem. The MV/34 turns virtually on its own length, thanks to well-planned wide drive line spacing between the twin diesel engines. This is a boat that will take you through the Great Loop and the Islands comfortably and with ease. Stability?
It’s built right in! So relax, and surrender to the joy of just skimming the waves. The MV/34 has all the stability you’d expect from a Cat. And only from a Cat. It always runs level, even at speed, so you never need trim tabs. Turns virtually on its own length, too, so forget about bow thrusters. As for stabilizers, you won’t be needing them either – again – because this is a Cat – so you can count on its stability, even in open waters.
