OUR LOCATION

All of the new trawlers and some of the brokerage trawlers and catamarans are on display at the Manitowoc Marina, Manitowoc, WI (80 miles North of Milwaukee).  The boats are located on A Dock and one of them serves as our Boat Office. It is marked with a sign. Our hours of operation are as follows:

In the winter, the boats are lined up in the parking lot along the waters edge.  We have sturdy ladders with railings to access the boats so we can easily get inside.

Ken and Karen enjoy working with their customers to make the purchase of a trawler or catamaran an enjoyable experience.  In-stock trawlers and catamarans are available for immediate purchase.  If you want to order a new boat, we will work with you to secure a production slot and estimated delivery date with the manufacturer.  Ordering a trawler or catamaran before its scheduled start date allows you to choose colors and outfit it with just the options that are important to you. Ken and Karen will explain the pros and cons of the options available. One year to 9 months before expected delivery is not too soon to start the process.

After the purchase, Ken and Karen will spend as much time as their customers need to become familiar with all the systems on their vessels, the maintenance issues, and hands-on maneuvering and operating. Purchasing a trawler or catamaran from Trawlers Midwest will be fun from start to finish with the end result being a quality yacht you will be proud to own for many years to come.

DRIVING DIRECTIONS

From the south: Traveling north on Interstate 43 from Milwaukee, take first exit for Manitowoc, turn right and follow signs for Highway 151 North. This will take you to the downtown giving you a good view of the large Budweiser bottles on silos as you're coming down Washington Street. Turn left on 8th Street (one-way), proceed for several blocks going over the bridge, then take an immediate right on Maritime Drive and this will bring you past the Maritime Museum, the Best Western Lakefront Hotel, the YMCA, and then the Manitowoc Marina. You will find our boats and boat office on A Dock.

From the north: Go south on Interstate 43 from Green Bay (sign says to Milwaukee), take the first exit for Manitowoc to Highway 10/42. Turn left on Highway 10/42 east and stay on highway all the way to the lake where you will take a right on Maritime Drive. You will soon see the sailboat masts at the Manitowoc Marina. You will find our boats and boat office on A Dock.

From the west: Highway 10 and 310 east, take first exit for Manitowoc for Highway 10 and 42. Follow same as coming from north.

From the carferry: Follow the driveway out of the parking lot and proceed west, turn right on 8th Street and proceed for seven blocks going over the bridge, then take an immediate right on Maritime Drive and this will bring you past the Maritime Museum, the Best Western Lakefront Hotel, the YMCA, and then the Manitowoc Marina. You will find our boats and boat office on A Dock.

Local Airports

Airports that are close to us include Green Bay, Appleton, and Milwaukee. If you are a private pilot, Manitowoc has its own small airport. Please contact us for more information and directions from airports.

Accommodations

If you want to stay close to the marina, the newly renovated Best Western Lakefront Hotel is within walking distance of the marina and located next to the Maritime Museum. With a beautiful view of Lake Michigan, this hotel combines elegance and casual all in one, and features all the amenities of a fine resort including a pool, whirlpool, saunas, restaurant, and cocktail lounge. Their phone number is 800-654-5353. Please ask for the Trawlers Midwest rate for a special discount. You have to call the hotel directly to get the rate; it will not come through if you try to register on-line. The regular rates are $179 during the summer season and $99 during the winter season. Trawlers Midwest special rate is $80 for the summer or winter.
