American Tug 41: Specifications Standard Features

Well-known boat designer, Lynn Senour created the American Tug hulls for solid sea handling based upon his design for rugged fishing boats.  The combination of the flat sharp chine where the V-hull meets the waterline and a deep keel ending with a large rudder provides solid tracking and a comfortable stable ride in all varieties of sea conditions and speeds.  American Tugs are now taking their owners around the Great Loop from the Great Lakes south on the river system to Florida and back up the east coast on the intercoastal waterway.  It's an adventure of a lifetime and the American Tug is perfectly designed for long-range cruising. You can throttle up to 17 knots or enjoy the view at 8 knots and burn 3 gallons of fuel per hour.

The American Tug 34 offers the same rugged design with comparable performance in a " couple cruiser" with a single stateroom design and a convertible settee in the salon for occasional guests.

Unique to this size trawler is the amidship master stateroom with an island queen bed, a large cedar- lined wardrobe, and roomy private head and shower.  It is accessed by a companionway that leads to the two staterooms from the pilot house.  The guest stateroom also has a private head and separate shower.
You can relax around the dining table on a large comfortable settee upholstered in Ultraleather. The U-shaped galley is to port with Granicoat molded countertops on the same level for easy entertaining and great visibility underway or in port.

The helm is centered in the spacious pilothouse in front of a large expanse of gently sloped console space with room for a full range of electronics.  The large reverse sheer windows forward are distinctive but functional, cutting glare and keeping the windows dry.  Behind the helm is an open settee with room for two, the perfect place for the crew to sit back and enjoy the scenery underway.  To starboard a desk offers ample room for a laptop or other projects to work on while cruising or in port.
